pond in the park be great? The dog owners seem to have a great
interest in making various improvements and in helping to
maintain the park. They seem very invested. People who are not
dog owners are very impressed when they go there with how
harmonious and playful the whole situation is. The children have
a great time playing with the dogs and in the park.
As a professional Psychologist I am quite experienced at
assessing what are healthy, healing situations and what are not.
I assure you that the dog park at Morse Ranch is a very healthy
setting of human interaction. A wide variety of people interact
easily in a pleasant environment with a sense of friendliness,
tolerance, playfulness and harmony. It is head and shoulders more
harmonious and sociable than any soccer, softball field etc. I
have seen. This is besides the joyous, playful, tolerant,
harmonious nature of the animal interactions. It is very
enjoyable to watch such shear delight. Its better than a zoo. You
don't have to be a dog owner to appreciate it. Dog owners should
have places where they can enjoy themselves as much as others
enjoy their sports and activities. The issue is really not about
dogs but simply about people using the park.
This is a very good use of the park. As a neighbor of the
park I ask you to continue it.
Sincerely,
David P. Illig
