Morse Ranch Off Leash Association
3980 Oak Street
Eugene, OR 97405
April 4, 1992
Mr. Robert Schutz
Executive Director
Eugene PARCS
22 W 7th
Eugene, OR 97401
Dear Mr. Schutz:
On behalf of the entire Morse Ranch Off Leash Association, I
would like to thank you for your decision to keep the off
leash area at Morse Ranch Park open. Needless to say, we are
very pleased.
As you know, we have made several promises to PARCS, and are
now most anxious to act upon our proposals. As you may
recall, our proposals included the following:
1. We would like to further discuss feces disposal with
PARCS.
2. We offered to install gates on the three entrances
to the park which border Lincoln and Crest Streets.
3. We offered to white wash the fence.
4. We offered to paint and post signs clearly marking
the off leash area boundaries.
5. We offered to chip the trails in the woods.
6. In addition, we are willing to continually work with
PARCS to maintain and upgrade this area.
At this point there seems to be much confusion as to the
status of the East Pasture, and also about what is expected
of us at this time. Therefore, our board of directors would
like to meet with you in the near future to discuss the
following concerns:
1. What is the status of this area? Doug Post has
indicated that this issue is far from completely
resolved. Who will be the next decision maker in
this process?
2. At what point can we begin work on the above listed
proposals? We need permission, and in some cases
assistance from PARCS, before we can begin any work
projects.
