Date: 10/13/92
From: Johnny Medlin CEWMJRM - RIS1
To: Bob Hammitt CEWMJRH - RIS1
cc: John Etter CERMJFE - RIS1
Subject: Morse Ranch Park - Charlie Potter
FYI - Sharon Rudnick called me yesterday to say that she had received a
call from Charlie Porter of the Morse Ranch Park Historical Board. He
asked her if we intended to discontinue the off -leash program at Morse
Ranch Park. She told me that Charlie said something to the effect that
if we were not discontinuing the off -leash program at that park then his
next step would be to sue the City to get it stopped. I verified to her
that there was no action by Council or staff that I was aware of to close
this park to the off -leash program. I told her about our recents actions
which indicated to me the off -leash program at Morse Ranch Park was here
for the duration. He said she would relay this info to Charlie.
Since Sharon has .already researched the documents available to us and has
issued an opinion that the off -leash program is an allowable use at this
park, our discussion centered around just waiting to see what Charlie
actually does. At that point we can decide how to respond.
Johnny
