Parks Operation and Maintenance Local Option Levy $2 million over 4 years <br /> $400,000 first two years <br /> $600,000 second two years <br /> Estimated tax rate less than $10 /year for $200,000 home <br /> There has been a flat operations and maintenance budget since 1998 and had anticipated <br /> some increase ($300k) as new parks came on line. <br /> II. Parks Acquisition and Development Bond Measure $14 million <br /> The parks measure that passed (by nearly a 3:1 margin) in 1998 was for $28 million. <br /> Thinking of this as an continuation measure, we see asking for half as much. Below is our <br /> sense of allocations, with candidate projects. Citizen input has indicated a desire for <br /> balance between developed parks and natural /open spaces. See supporting arguments <br /> below. In each category, we show examples of projects for consideration. <br /> Recreation ($3.5 million) <br /> Echo Hollow Pool Renovation and Expansion <br /> Multi -Use Fields Development <br /> With 4J to refurbish and create new facilities (irrigation and drainage) <br /> Jefferson and Cal Young Middle School <br /> Spring Creek and Awbry Park Schools <br /> Kinney Loop site (could be a sports complex) <br /> Fields at new Santa Clara Community Park (if exchange occurs) <br /> Neighborhood/Community Parks ($3.5 million) <br /> Implement Skinner Butte Park Plan <br /> Implement Candlelight Park Plan <br /> Expand Park Blocks Downtown <br /> Jefferson Greenway Park (partner with Fairgrounds) <br /> Redevelopment of Neighborhood Park Playgrounds and Restrooms <br /> Design and Install Disc Golf Courses at Community Parks <br /> Neighborhood Park acquisition in new developments, add to SDCs <br /> Ridgeline Trail Addition and Development ($3.5 million) <br /> East to Moon Mountain <br /> West to the West Eugene Wetlands, Churchill area <br /> In the south include Oak Savannah Sites <br /> Develop trails and trailheads for access to new areas <br /> Natural Areas/ Open Spaces Acquisition ($3.5 million) <br /> Willamette Greenway North (Santa Clara/ Green Island) <br />
