EUGENE Public Works
 Maintenance
City of Eugene
1820 Roosevelt Boulevard
Eugene, Oregon 97402
(541) 682 -4800
June 20, 1997
Robert Meinen, Director
Oregon Parks & Recreation Department
1115 Commercial St. NE
Salem, OR 97310 -1001
Dear Mr. Meinen:
The City of Eugene is currently going through the process of budget reductions due to the passage of
ballot measures 47/50. The City is no longer able to operate and maintain Hileman or Whitely boat
landings on the Willamette River near Eugene, Oregon. The City is making contacts with other agencies
that might be interested in operating and maintaining these facilities. The City would consider
transferring the assets to another government agency. Please let me know if you are interested in the
possibility of operating and maintaining these boat landings.
Thank you for your consideration.
Respectfully,
(3,,.M
Richard A. Morgan
Park Operations Manager
