Next Steps
At this point we are ready to refine and finalize the 1996 work program. To do this, additional
funding information is needed from partners. It may also be necessary for partners to define their
priorities more precisely, in case not all of the projects can be accomplished in 1996.
We could then proceed in one of two ways:
1) Hold a joint planning meeting with WET partners and youth providers to divide the
workload. This would allow for the design of a "customized" work program for each youth
provider, i.e., one that offers the most attractive combination of the timing and types of work.
2) Match each youth provider with one or two of the partners (for example: NYC with Eugene,
Looking Glass with TNC and BLM). The youth providers would then work separately with
the partners to solidify a work program.
Questions WET May Want to Consider
• Is the youth strategy for 1996 on the right track?
• Is WET interested in beginning to discuss a longer term youth corps strategy for west
Eugene?
Attachment:
• Possible Youth Work Project for 1996 (matrix)
LCOG: L: \WETLANDS\YOUTfi\1_22MEMO.DOC
Last Saved: January 17, 1996
