Include <br /> documentation of improved practices in the comprehensive operations and maintenance manual (BMP OM1). <br /> Task 4: • Implement revised practices. <br /> 0M9 - Litter Pickup <br /> Task 2: • Identify all highly attended outdoor public events (both privately and publicly sponsored) that are scheduled <br /> each year and evaluate the likely impact and location of potential litter problems. • <br /> • Coordinate with public agencies or private promoters sponsoring scheduled outdoor public events to ensure <br /> sufficient numbers and strategic location of receptacles, and collection frequency. <br /> • Coordinate public education efforts with BMP ED1. <br /> • Monitor selected highly attended, outdoor public events to evaluate the effectiveness of existing litter <br /> prevention and collection practices. <br /> Task 3: • Evaluate the need to collect litter from streets, sidewalks and vacant lots on a regular basis. Implement <br /> revised practices. Document revised practices and provide in the comprehensive operations and maintenance <br /> manual developed under BMP OM 1. <br /> Task 4: • Identify areas frequently used for illegal dumping and implement a program to regularly monitor these sites. <br /> Document any revised practices and Include in the comprehensive operations and maintenance manual <br /> developed under OM 1. <br /> OM10 - Prevent Leaks and Spills from Municipal Trucks <br /> Task 3: • On an ongoing basis, identify the need to modify existing municipal trucks to prevent or reduce leaks or spills <br /> of hauled material. When or if new vehicles are purchased, research the availability of truck designs that <br /> incorporate the prevention of leaks and spills of hauled material into their design. <br /> • <br /> Task 4: • Where appropriate, develop procedures for monitoring the implementation of revised practices. Include <br /> record keeping. <br /> • Determine methods for evaluating the effectiveness of improvements. <br /> P &A5 - Illegal Dumping Program <br /> Task 3: • Implement the revised spill response and illegal dumping programs.
