M--7 <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. M -667, the Street Tree <br /> Ordinance of the City of Vancouver. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF VANCOUVER: <br /> Section 1. Section 3, of Ordinance No. M -667, is hereby <br /> amended to read as follows: - <br /> Section 3. All trees or shrubs shall hereafter be planted <br /> in any public parking strip or other public place in the city only <br /> with the permission of the director of public works according to the <br /> provisions of this. ordinance. No trees or shrubs. shall overhang any <br /> sidewalk or street in such manner as to obstruct or impair the free <br /> and full use of the sidewalk or street, including the interuption <br /> or interference with the clear vision of pedestrians or persons <br /> operating vehicles thereon, and -including interference with poles, <br /> wires, pipes, fixtures or any other part of any public utility <br /> situated in said street. No trees or shrubs shall be planted which <br /> constitute a fire hazard or a menace to public health, safety or <br /> welfare. - <br /> Section 2..
