It is a high priority to develop a Standard Operations Policy <br /> (S.O.P.) manual for the tree program. This meeting is to brainstorm the <br /> proposed topics for the Urban Forestry Policy Manual. <br /> 1. TREE ROOT CONFLICTS /SIDEWALKS, DRIVES, SEWERS, ROOF DRAINS, ETC. <br /> A) Trees on private property <br /> B) Trees on City property <br /> C) Tree sitting on r/w line <br /> 1. Public trees behind fences <br /> Discussion: Jan will work with Gene Shutt. Need a policy about sidewalk <br /> damage and sewer damage. How do we want to address this policy. Get some <br /> input from the sewer crew. <br /> 2. STUMP REMOVAL <br /> A) City removed trees <br /> B) Privately removed trees <br /> Discussion: Need policy on removal of tree stumps when the tree has been <br /> removed without permit. Current policy is that if we are made aware through <br /> the permit procedure, we do go back and grind the stump. <br /> 3. CLEANUP OF STORM FALL FROM PRIVATE TREES <br /> Discussion: We need to identify whether its an intense storm or just isolated <br /> individual cases. We need to identify the criteria. We do not go on private <br />
