Any action <br /> that has a significant adverse impact on these trees will reduce their value, increase the cost <br /> of maintenance, and may raise the potential of failure of all or part of the tree. It is in the <br /> public's interest to n these assets and minimize any action that may have a negative <br /> impact on the them. <br /> APPLICABIE STANDARDS <br /> All work done on city trees shall be done in accordance with National Arborist <br /> Association standard and in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety <br /> Administration (OSHA), Oregon tonal Safety and Health Code (OR -OSHA) <br /> safety rules, along with American National Stan dards (ANSI) for tree care; latest <br /> editions. <br /> Any work with the public street must comply with "Short Term Traffic Control <br /> Handbook," 19 Oregon Department of Transportation or latest edition. <br /> Visual clearance for traffic sign, signals, street lights will comply with Public Works <br /> Department's "Sign, Signd, and Street Light Tree Cleo/once Stazdath." <br /> Other standards referencing trees are the Public Works Departrnenfs "Stazdarr <br /> Specification for Tree Protection, "Pl att i ng S� " <br /> ZRFE MAINT NANCE <br /> Tree maintenance consists of that work on a tree that improves or maintains the tree's <br /> "` :health "and the public's safety. This includes, but not limited to, removi dead li <br /> and lunbs poor attachment to the parent limb, raising limbs over pu blic <br /> sidewalks parking:strips and streets ( M unicipal Code 6.010 (i) 1).
