MEMORANDUM <br /> February 5, 1993 <br /> TO: Dick Morgan, Parks Operation Manager <br /> FROM: Ben Bonner, Tree Crew Supervisor <br /> SUBJECT: Personnel to Assist Tree Crew <br /> Thirty -three people from various Public Works Crews responded to our <br /> request to form a back -up Tree Crew. The purpose of the back -up crew is to <br /> assist regular Tree Crew members during storm emergencies and when we are <br /> short handed for after hours call -outs. <br /> Adrian Stansfield and I selected nine people from the list of thirty - <br /> three. We selected no more than two people from any one crew in order to <br /> minimize the disruption to the other Public Works crews. Past interest in <br /> tree work and proximity to the Maintenance Yard, were two of the factors used <br /> in making our selection. <br /> The following is the list of people selected: <br /> Crew Personnel <br /> Turf Todd Castro <br /> Turf Todd Richards <br /> Landscape and Trees Kevin Forestler <br /> Street and Drainage Dave Bell <br /> Street and Drainage Rocky Paakaula <br /> Wastewater Collections Scot Pickens <br /> Wastewater Collections Kevin Leidall <br /> Concrete Ralph Wendt <br /> Street Sanitation . ii Er lJ / -Ioo /s.pu/o <br /> These nine people, along with three regular Tree Crew members, will <br /> attend an all day training session on tree removal and safety in Corvallis on <br /> February llth. In addition, the nine people will undergo training with our <br /> own Crew. We will have one or two people at a time spending a full day <br /> working with our Crew in the field. Chipper usage, chain saw safety, traffic <br /> control, and work site safety will be emphasized.
