b. 50+ trees Additional $1 /tree <br /> Examples of total fees: 1 to 9 trees = $350.00 <br /> 10 to 49 trees = $601.00 - $639.00 <br /> 50+ trees = $641.00 + $3 /tree <br /> 5. A security bond or cash deposit sufficient to ensure performance under the <br /> approved street tree plan shall be provided to the City. <br /> A. Security bond or deposit shall be determined by the following formula: <br /> 1. Number of 1.5" caliper trees on the approved street tree plan <br /> multiplied by $300.00, and; <br /> 2. Number of 2" caliper trees on the approved street tree plan multiplied <br /> by $400.00. <br /> B. Trees which fail during the establishment period and are replaced will <br /> extend the establishment period an additional three years from the date of <br /> the replanting. <br /> C. The developer may either request the release of the security bond or cash <br /> deposit once all trees on the development have completed their establishment <br /> period, or annually request the release of the security bond or cash deposit <br /> for those trees which have completed their establishment period. <br /> 7.640 Foliage - Certain Trees Prohibited - No person shall plant, or cause to be planted, any <br /> species of tree within the right -of -way of a street, avenue, highway or alley, pedestrian right -of- <br /> way or pedestrian easement, within the city which is not listed in the street tree species /variety <br /> list approved and adopted by the city manager pursuant to section 2.019 of this code, unless <br /> planting of the proposed species is specifically authorized by the city manager or the manager's <br /> designee. <br /> A) The majority of this section will be covered with the adoption of the street tree list <br /> discussed earlier. <br /> B) The administrative rules herein needs to establish the Urban Forester as the City <br /> Manager's designee for having the authority to approve the planting of other than <br /> the listed species. <br /> 7.650 (2) Except as provided in subsection (3) of this section, no person shall trim or prune <br /> a tree growing within the public right -of -way in a manner not in compliance with the standards <br /> adopted by the city manager. The city manager shall adopt such standards as part of rules <br /> promulgated accordance with section 2.019 of this code. The standards shall be designated to <br /> ensure trees are not trimmed or pruned in a manner that causes damage to the tree or diminishes <br /> its health. <br /> 16 <br />
