of caliper size. <br /> e) No soil grade changes shall take place within the critical root <br /> zone. <br /> f) No storage of material shall be allowed within the critical root <br /> zone or protected area of the tree. <br /> IF CONSTRUCTION OR LANDSCAPING HAS NOT BEEN <br /> COMPLETED ON THE ABUTTING PROPERTY THE <br /> FOLLOWING CONDITIONS ALSO SHALL APPLY: <br /> g) The critical root zone or tree protection zone shall have a <br /> protective fence installed at it's perimeter. <br /> h) The protective fence shall be at least 4' in height and made of <br /> orange plastic material or approved equivalent. <br /> I) The protective fencing shall be installed prior to any <br /> construction activity around the tree and be maintained in <br /> place during the construction activities and removed only when <br /> the final construction is completed. <br /> 7.280 (3) Procedure - Upon approval of the street tree plan, and prior to approval of the <br /> final plat for subdivisions, planned unit development, partitions, or approved development plans, <br /> the applicant shall: <br /> (a) Pay to the city a fee established by the city manager pursuant to section <br /> 2.020 of this code that is equal to the cost of the purchase, installation, and establishment of the <br /> street trees required by the approved street tree plan. Thereafter the city shall assume <br /> responsibility for the purchase, installation, and establishment of the street trees; or <br /> CITY PLANTS STREET TREES OPTION <br /> 1. Developer shall pay the city a fee for street trees which is calculated by dividing the <br /> total curb footage of local streets within or abutting the area being developed by 30 <br /> then multiplied by $300, and; <br /> 2. Dividing the total curb footage of collector and arterial streets, and commercial <br /> zoned abutting properties, within or abutting the area being developed by 30 then <br /> multiplied by $400. <br /> 14 <br />
