City
staff will reexamine and demonstrate, using the established criteria, the factors which
compelled the tree's removal.
2. challenge the findings of the report and present evidence to the contrary.
3. present alternatives to removal.
The City reserves the right to make the final determination on the tree's status.
SPECIAL CONDITION
In the City's urban forest the Paul's Scarlet Hawthorn ( Crataegus laevigata "Paul's Scarlet ")
has ceased to be a asset. While this hawthorn blooms and leafs out each year it quickly
looses its leave by mid-season due to a foliar disease. This tree does not contribute to the
health and vitality of the urban forest and is considered a nuisance and can be removed by the
adjacent property owner with permission of the City.
policy\nuisance.pol 9/13/94
