A recycling facility does not include storage <br /> containers used solely for the collection of recyclable materials generated on the <br /> parcel. <br /> Recycling - Reverse Vending Machine. An automated mechanical device that <br /> accepts 1 or more types of empty beverage containers including, but not limited to <br /> aluminum cans, glass and plastic bottles, and issues a cash refund or a redeemable <br /> credit slip with a value not less than the container's redemption value as determined <br /> by State law. A reverse vending machine may sort and process containers <br /> mechanically provided that the entire process is enclosed within the machine. <br /> Recycling - Small Collection Facility. A facility primarily designed for the collection <br /> of recyclable materials. A recycling facility does not include storage containers used <br /> solely for the collection of recyclable materials generated on the parcel. The facility <br /> occupies 1,000 square feet or less and may include: <br /> (A) A mobile unit for the collection of recyclable materials; <br /> (B) Bulk.reverse vending machines or a grouping of reverse vending machines <br /> occupying more than 50 square feet; and <br /> (C) Kiosk -type units that may include permanent structures. <br /> Refinement Plan. A detailed examination of the service needs and land use issues of <br /> a specific area, topic, or public facility. Refinement plans of the Metro Plan can <br /> include specific neighborhood plans, special area plans, or functional plans (such as <br /> TransPlan) that address a specific Metro Plan element or sub - element on a city-wide <br /> or regional basis. <br /> Residential Treatment Center. A professionally operated 24 -hour care facility <br /> administering a planned system of medical, psychological, social work and/or <br /> rehabilitative procedures and activities designed to relieve or minimize mental, <br /> emotional or behavioral disorders. Residential treatment centers serve people <br /> admitted by court order, and others on a voluntary basis. Residential treatment <br /> centers normally serve less than 50 persons and can provide a security system <br /> alarming staff if residents under care leave the facility. For purposes of determining <br /> residential density, if the design of the facility does not contain dwellings, as defined <br /> in this land use code, then every 1.5 beds equals 1 dwelling. Fractional dwellings <br /> shall be rounded to the next highest integer, e.g. 2 beds equals 2 dwellings. <br /> Response Time. The time between departure from the station and arrival at the scene <br /> of the emergency for purposes of determining compliance with requirements imposed <br /> on emergency medical services, specifically excluding dispatch and preparation time. <br /> Roof Sign.
