Recommendation <br /> Due to the low number of permits processed over the past 18 months and the lack <br /> of controversy, staff recommend no changes to the Tree Preservation Ordinance <br /> other than those proposed for Eugene Code Sections 6.305 and 7.650 attached. <br /> Staff feel adding a clear requirement for pruning standards and a permit for <br /> street tree removal are housekeeping issues. Believing these requirements were <br /> already in place, staff has historically managed the program accordingly with <br /> little concern voiced by citizens or problems encountered. <br /> E. Timing <br /> If adopted the process for tree removal permit administration could be <br /> implemented immediately.
