6.005 Eugene Code 6.007 <br /> Chapter 6 <br /> ENVIRONMENT AND HEALTH <br /> Street Tree Preservation <br /> 6.300 Definitions. As used in section 6.305 to 6.330 of this Code, the following <br /> definitions apply: <br /> Critical Root Zone. Area around az tree measured from the <br /> trunk of the tree and extending in an radius outward ; in even <br /> directions around the circumference of the ;tree. TheCRZ for trees <br /> less than 4" in caliper shall be, an area with as radi us , of at least <br /> 5'. For trees 4" in caliper or larger, the °CRZ shall be an area <br /> with a radius of at least-1'6' from the trunk of the tree for every <br /> 1" of caliper size. <br /> Fell. To remove or sever a tree or the intentional use of any <br /> procedure the natural result of which is to cause the death or substantial <br /> destruction of the tree. Fell does not in any context include normal <br /> trimming , pruning , or topping of trees those "truing and ping standards <br /> as published by the National Arborists Association or International Society of <br /> Arboriculture. <br /> Heritage tree. Any tree of exceptional value to our community based <br /> on its size (relative to species), history, location, or species, or any <br /> combination of these criteria. The specific methodology for classifying <br /> a tree as a heritage tree shall be established by administrative rule of <br /> the city manager adopted pursuant to section 2.019 of this code. (Any <br /> tree defined in Section 15.2 of they Urban Forest Management Plan <br /> as ad±opted,by the°1rigene City Councilx0n October 14, 1992.) <br /> Logging plan .
