persons under contract to the city necessary to install or maintain <br /> improvements such as streets and sewers within publicly owned and <br /> accepted rights -of -way or utility easements[;]; <br /> [ -: --- :- i ; ' -= = <br /> Section 4. Subsection (3) of Section 6.990 of the Eugene Code, 1971 is amended <br /> to provide: <br /> 6.990 Penalties - Specific. <br /> (3) Violation of section [6.305 to and including scction 6.310] 6.315 is <br /> punishable by a fine of a minimum of $100.00 to a maximum of $4,000.000 for each tree <br /> removed, or confinement in jail not to exceed 100 days, or both fine and imprisonment. <br /> In addition, the city attorney, upon request of the city manager, shall institute any <br /> necessary legal proceedings to enforce the provisions of section [3 6.305 and 6.310] 6..315 <br /> of this code. <br /> Section 5.
