2/6/98 DRAFT <br /> ORDINANCE NO. <br /> AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING TREE PRESERVATION; <br /> RENUMBERING AND AMENDING SECTIONS 6.300, 6.305, <br /> 6.310, 6.320, 6.325, AND 6.330 OF THE EUGENE CODE, <br /> 1971 TO 7.660, 7.665, 7.670, 7.675, 7.685, AND 7.690 <br /> RESPECTIVELY; ADDING SECTIONS 6.315, 7.680 AND <br /> 7.995 TO THAT CODE; AND AMENDING SECTIONS 6.990 <br /> AND 7.990 OF THAT CODE. <br /> THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. Section 6.315 is hereby added to the Eugene Code, 1971, to provide: <br /> 6 315 Tree Felling - Prohibited. <br /> (1) As used in this section, words and phrases- have the meanings <br /> ascribed in section 7660'of this code. <br /> (2) No person may fell more than five trees within a period of 12 <br /> consecutive, months from a parcel of private property consisting of 20,000: or more square <br /> feet of area;. <br /> (3)! No person may fell any tree from an undeveloped parcelof private <br /> property consisting of Tess than 20,000 square feet of area. <br /> (4) The provisions of subsections (2) and (3) of this section do not apply <br /> when: <br /> (a) The tree felling has been specifically authorized 'in a final <br /> planned unit development approval, in a tentative subdivision approval, by <br /> a conditional use permit, or a building .. permit or <br /> (b) The tree felling is necessary to remove or alleviate a danger to <br /> Ordinance - 1 01/30/98 <br />
