Code, 1971, are hereby renumbered 7.660, 7.665, 7.670, 7.675, 7.685, and 7.690 <br /> respectively, and a new Section 7.680 is added thereto, to provide: <br /> [6:300]7.€60 Street Tree Preservation - Definitions. As used in sections [6.305 to <br /> 6.330] 7.660 to 7.690 of this code, the following definitions apply: <br /> Fell. To remove or sever a tree or the intentional use of any <br /> procedure the natural result of which is to cause the death or substantial <br /> destruction of the tree. Fell does not in any context include [normal] <br /> trimming, pruning, or topping of trees. <br /> Heritage tree. Any tree of exceptional value to our community based <br /> on its size (relative to species), history, location, or species, or any <br /> combination of these criteria. The specific methodology for classifying a tree <br /> as a heritage tree shall be established by administrative rule of the city <br /> manager adopted pursuant to section 2.019 of this code. <br /> Logging plan. A document describing the equipment to be used on <br /> site, the access roads, grading, skid paths and any other environmental <br /> change that will be affected to permit logging, as well as mitigation efforts <br /> designed to protect from the negative effects of the logging process all <br /> wetlands, riparian zones, habitat, neighboring residences, and such other <br /> areas as the city manager or designee determines is appropriate. • [ - . - : i w e " - , • • - - - • • • - •. - i : : • • <br /> -' - - - - - - er. - -- • : - - y • - .. - - - -- - . .. <br /> ] <br /> Ordinance - 3 10/31/97 <br />
