Date: 06/23/93
From: Linda Norris CEEXLHN - RIS1
To: Bob Hammitt CEWMJRH - RIS1
Jan Staszewski CEWMJXS - RIS1
Subject: Tree Ordinance
I just talked to Glenn Klein. He said he will FAX us the draft of the
two ordinances in the next half an hour. Probably the easiest way to handle
this is for you to do the first draft of the briefing statement and OA
it to me. I'll look at it and call you if I think anything needs to be
added.
My largest concern with this issue is that the draft from Keller is a
substantial change from the current ordinance. I am concered that the
development community will react negatively, especially since we aren't
allowing a public hearing. Will you two look at the Keller draft and let me
know if you think the development comm. will react the way I think they will.
We may have to do a worksession, and then schedule it for a public hearing.
We also need to talk about sending the drafts to the Homebuilders and other
interested parties.
Thanks, Linda
