y
both programs to make them more effective and, hopefully, to be viewed more positively
by Eugene residents /EWEB customers.
Intended Outcome of Task Force Process
Based on further discussion of the identified issues and the results of the "model" projects,
it is our intention to produce an Intergovernmental Agreement, to be signed by the City
Manager and EWEB General Manager, that will outline a future cooperative approach in
our respective tree trimming practices and programs. The agreement would be subject to
City Council and Board of Commissioners review prior to signature.
Conclusion
The Task Force will work on the model project over the next few weeks, and will continue
to meet and discuss new issues and progress toward resolution of all issues. We would hope
to reach consensus on a draft Intergovernmental Agreement for presentation to management
and elected bodies in the first quarter of Calendar Year 1994.
c: EWEB Board of Commissioners
Randy Berggren, General Manager
Susan Brody, Management Services Division Director
Laurie Power, Environmental Manager
Dave Koski, Overhead Line Supervisor
Brad Edwards, Tree Trimming Coordinator
Johnny Medlin, Maintenance Support Manager, City of Eugene
