September 13, 1993
Mr. Tim Vollmer
Home Builders Association of Lane County
1679 Willamette Street
Eugene, Oregon 97401
Dear Mr. Vollmer:
I wanted to take this opportunity to provide you with some information that
may be of interest to your organization:
1. The Council Officers have tentatively scheduled a public hearing on the
tree felling ordinance to occur after this building season (January or Febru-
ary, 1994). The exact date of the hearing has not yet been determined.
2. I spoke with a couple of Home Builders a few months ago at the Maple
Street project celebration, and they described a concern about a lack
of flexibility for narrower residential street widths. I discussed this
recently with the Public Works Director, who told me that this issue is being
addressed as part of TRIP. If you haven't already reviewed the TRIP propos-
als, this would be a good time. The public hearing is scheduled
for September 27, at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber.
Sincerely,
Nancy Nathanson
Ward 8
