FOOTNOTES <br /> a. Sidewalk dimension includes a 5' paved walk and 1' reserve strip. <br /> b. Planting strip dimension includes 6" curb. <br /> c. Alley widths assume a required minimum setback of 2' on each side to get a 24' <br /> backup distance. <br /> Public alleys must be constructed to existing standards utilizing center drainage and a <br /> 7" concrete surface. Private alleys may be constructed with a center crown and may be <br /> paved with asphalt. Inverted curbs are required on alleys c- onstructed with asphalt <br /> paving. (Minimum standards ? ?) <br /> d. Cul-de -sacs constructed with 20' of paving, and more than 150 feet in length, must <br /> provide a 15' emergency vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian accessway from the bulb or <br /> vehiclular turn- around at the end of the street to an adjacent street. <br /> e. Additional on -street parking, to accommodate infrequent high parking demands, can be <br /> provided in congregate parking areas, such as parking courts. <br /> f. New boulevard type is 34' of paving with an 8' median in a 70 ROW. The Residential <br /> Boulevard could be used in conjunction with residential alley access to improve the <br /> streetscape and eliminate driveway curb cuts along the street.
