Eugene Water & Electric Board
EWER 500 East 4th Avenue
Post Office Box 10148 •
Eugene, Oregon 97440 -2148 503.484.2411 Fax 503.484.3762
Dear EWEB Customer:
We offer a service that can help you have attractive trees
• that do not grow into the power lines. You can pick out one
of several types of trees at a local nursery for EWER to
purchase a replacement to an existing tall tree that we
remove. This saves us the cost of periodically trimming or
topping your trees and reduces the potential for power
outages.
The following assortment of trees are recommended and suitable
for growing near power lines. These trees should grow no
larger than about 35• tall.
Commissioners Beech, weeping purple Thundercloud plum
Sarah Hendrickson Cherry, flowering Box elder, variegated
Susie Smith Crabapple, flowering Smoke tree, purple
Mike Dyer
Dorothy Anderson Golden chain tree 8nowbell, Japanese
Glen Gibbons. Jr. Golden rain tree Sourwood
Magnolia, Saucer Stewartia
General Manager
Randy L. Berggren Mimosa, Silk tree, Cedar, weeping Alaska (No street
planting)
Availability of trees is subject to seasonal demands.
Substitution may be necessary.
We recommend Bloomers Nursery at 89813 Sprague Road (Eugene)
or Eugene Wholesale Nursery at 55 Delay Drive (Eugene). You
may choose another nursery in the Eugene /Springfield area, if
you prefer. EWEB will allocate up to $100.00 for your
replacement tree.
Once you have selected a tree at a nursery, show them this
letter. They will tag the tree for EWEB to pick up. Call
EWEB at 484 -2411, ext. 3656 to let us know where to pick up
the tree. An EWEB employee will pick up the tree and deliver
it to your home.
If you have any questions, please call us at the above number.
DATE # OF TREES APPROVED BY
•
CUSTOMER NAME
ADDRESS
PHONE
