It has good wound wood production and good vigor. There is a large recent cut and
two defect spots. Heavy seed crop. Burl (Unknown cause) all around base. Vertical stress
cracks on SW leader, and abnormal horizontal stress cracking on SW leader going towards
house.
lnderfykgtasee- The health of the tree has been degraded due to past pruning methods.e.g.flush cuts,
imbalanced pruning including tip overloading, large mature limb removals, and tension wood
scarring. Sidewalk repairs may have contributed to root injury and decay. Without root crown
excavation and examination, we cannot determine the extent of damage and /or decay.
- To improve the tree's health, nutrient health improvement measures for the roots of the tree
Mom
tlwe- Is recommended. Cabling, crown reduction, shaping and balancing and correctional pruning
techniques are strongly recommended as soon as possible.
do - -'-t far Our recommendation for Minimum Invasive Hazard Treatments are 1) Cabling - -- This means
NEN structurally securing limbs, trunks, or scaffolds to other tree members for the purpose of
land Tnodaa &
stabilizing, holding together, and decreasing the potential for structural failure of the tree.
On this project, we suggest the use of Cobra system cabling, (the most installed cabling
system in Europe), because it is adjustable over time and can be reused. 2) Balancing &
Shaping, 3) Crown Reduction, and 4) Corrective Pruning. Please refer to the Report for more
detailed descriptions.
