i. Track how much crews accomplish, in acres, completed work at
each site, each week. Record it under the appropriate Site /Code in the
Accomplishments Table. It is critical that all of the target acreages of work
for this year are accomplished.
ii. Scout out the planned work site the week before, to determine where and
how youth crews should work on the site. This is also important for weed
work dependent on time of year (teasel, etc.).
iii. Miscellaneous non - critical work.
(a) Youth crews can help with seed collection if needed; OR
(b) Fence removal at Maliner /Chernecky. There is an old fence that runs
E -W between the Maliner and Chernecky sites. It should be removed,
supervise youth crew to accomplish this task. This is a low priority.
Unless there is extra crew time, it can be left for another time.
E. Supervision and coordination of mowing:
Accomplish approximately 80 acres of mowing. This will need to be
reported in September when the youth crew work is reported.
F. Fence construction at Atlantic/Pacific must be completed by the end of
September.
G. Miscellaneous Tasks (non - critical)
i. Fence repair: Walk the fence lines on the South Taylor and North Taylor
parcel and repair or replace sections as needed.
ii. Weed Mapping, Future Mowing Sites: Vinci Site: If time allows, it
would be valuable for future planning if mow -able weed areas were
mapped on this site. A rare plant survey from last year is available that
would help to guide this work.
iii. Prescribed Burns: If the prescribed burns are going to occur prior to end
of end of this contract, assist BLM fire staff, Nancy Ashlock and Dave
Reed. These would take precedence over anything other than the crews or
mowing.
4
