AGREEMENT NO. HAA031M00 <br /> STATEMENT OF WORK <br /> Task Order #HEF031M01 <br /> 1.0 DESCRIPTION OF WORK <br /> The City of Eugene will supervise Northwest Youth Corps and Lane Metro <br /> Looking Glass youth crews to complete the following projects for the BLM, <br /> Eugene District Office, West Eugene Wetlands Project: Weed removal, seed <br /> collection, ladder fuels removal, identifying and mapping potential hazardous <br /> fuels /weeds, protection fencing, coordinate with BLM fire staff and assist with <br /> prescribing burn and habitat improvement projects at several West Eugene <br /> Wetland sites that occur on BLM land. The City will also oversee and coordinate <br /> all mowing activities to reduce hazardous fuels on wetland and upland sites within <br /> the WEW. <br /> 1.1 ACCESS/LOCATION <br /> Access to sites is via all- weather roads. The sites, Hansen and Chermecky, are <br /> located in the West Eugene Wetlands of the Eugene BLM District at the <br /> Oakwood Land Site. Other sites will be identified at a later date. They are <br /> located on varied terrain from steep to gentle slopes with various distances, so that <br /> the tools will need to be packed in from the roads. Work areas will be at <br /> Government- approved sites. <br /> 1.2 WORK HOURS <br /> Work hours, start/stop times for noise - making activities (power equipment may <br /> be operated) will be between two (2) hours after sunrise until (1) hour before <br /> sunset. <br /> 1.3 SITE SECURITY <br /> City personnel fulfilling the requirements of this Task Order will be based out the <br /> BLM facility at 751 South Danebo and using BLM equipment. City personnel <br /> will be responsible for securing all tools on site in storage space provided. Staff <br /> will also be responsible for locking buildings if they are the last person leaving <br /> the office at the end of the work day. <br /> Northwest Youth Corps will be supplying their own equipment, and may leave <br /> their equipment at the work site. However, the Government will not be <br /> responsible for their equipment if it should become lost, stolen, or damaged. <br /> BLM operator will be responsible for securing BLM mowing equipment. <br /> 2 <br />
