AGREEMENT <br /> This agreement is between the CITY OF EUGENE, an Oregon Municipal <br /> Corporation (City) and the RIVER ROAD PARK AND RECREATION DISTRICT, an Oregon <br /> Municipal Corporation (District). <br /> RECITALS: <br /> A. This Agreement is executed pursuant to the authority conferred by <br /> ORS 190.003 et seq. <br /> B. Under Oregon land use law, the City has a duty to coordinate its <br /> consideration of annexations with other affected governmental entities. This <br /> Agreement represents the results of those coordination efforts by the City <br /> with the District. The District is satisfied that this Agreement represents <br /> sufficient coordination and will not object to future annexations of property <br /> in the District to the City of Eugene on the basis of lack of coordination. <br /> C. The City has a policy of allowing requested and voluntary <br /> annexations to its corporate limits for property located in the River Road/ <br /> Santa Clara area, some of which property is now within the boundaries of the <br /> District. All parties hereto desire the continuation of the District. The <br /> purpose of this Agreement is to supplement the revenues of the District with <br /> those property taxes lost in the District due to annexations to the City of <br /> Eugene. <br /> AGREEMENT - -1 <br />
