MEMORANDUM
April 24, 1990
TO: Public Works Day Planning Team
FROM: Sandra Gleason, Administration
SUBJECT: Public Works Day Display
Just a gentle reminder. In our April 6 planning meeting, I discussed the
content of this year's main display. Each year, I produce a display that
presents an overview of the department and includes information on each
division. This year, we plan to create a series of Plexiglas cubes with
photos and copy that show how Public Works is "In Step With the Future."
Projects or subjects could range from state -of- the -art technological innova -.
tions to productive maintenance techniques to using our resources in innova-
tive and efficient ways. Each division will have the equivalent of one cube
-- or four sides -- to focus on either one project or up to three projects
that show how you are keeping in step; one of the sides will be used to
describe the photographs in the other three.
To help me with the display, I need each of you to talk with your division
planning team or division manager to identify the project(s) your division
wants to focus on and the photos you want taken for the display. You won't
have to take the pictures; I've already hired a photographer. I'll also
interview appropriate division people and will write the copy.
Here comes the reminder. I asked to have the list of projects /photos by
April 23, but so far, I have received information from two divisions. I'm
begging the rest of you to PLEASE bring your list of projects and photos to
the Thursday, April 26 planning meeting? You don't have to do any work other
than identify the projects, photos, and a contact person. I PROMISE I'LL DO
THE REST (trust me!).
Give me a call at 5523 if you have questions.
