I do remember you said the new tool it is suppose to be very user friendly with good ability to make changes and improvements and I'm very much hoping that is the case. So far, in my opinion, this is several orders of magnitude below what we had. If fact, the entire city website is somewhat disappointing to me. I was hoping for so much more in terms of graphics and pictures of real people doing real things here in Eugene. Eugene is really a great place to live, work and play and I think our old site emphasized that about Eugene with a first visual impact of "wow this is really a cool place ". That was the impression it gave even before a visitor started reading and navigating around. I feel this new product, so far, is bland and text oriented to the point that many of the pages are really "busy" and hard to read. I do not think people looking at the current city web site, and certainly not our portion of it, will get the impression that Eugene is anything special or that our web site is anything special. I have already received numerous visits by my staff sharing their disappointment and a couple negative comments from citizen users. I hope over the next few weeks we can work to improve this. I would be very open to ideas on how we could accomplish this. Thanks Johnny
