The Parks Planning work unit would be elevated to the level of an independent section. <br />The existing position of Parks Planning Manager would assume the role of the section manager <br />reporting directly to the Division Manager. This is an elevation of authority and recognition of the <br />importance of the functions provided by this section. No other program changes or personnel changes <br />are recommended. The lead role for land acquisition priorities would be established in this section and <br />acquired through the engineering divisions real property staff. <br />October 18, 2000 7 <br />
