These low valve boxes and concrete valve vaults create <br />maintenance operation difficulties and equipment damage to contractor's fairway <br />reel mowers. By contract, I don't think this work falls in the scope of our duties. <br />(this issue will remain un- addressed by the irrigation crew until discussed <br />with the POS Director and Park Operations Manager) <br />To date, the irrigation crew has met the obligations of the contract between the City and <br />the Laurelwood contractors. Since the fall of 2007, Park Operations staff have logged <br />over 650 hours ($26,000) working on the irrigation system at Laurelwood Golf Course. <br />Staff continues work at the course to address outstanding issues and have been successful <br />in keeping the dilapidated irrigation system running for the last two seasons. <br />
