a. Move, inspect, and clean daily from April 1 st through November 30 and <br />as needed so that they are available for use December 1 s through March <br />31s <br />b. Maintain ball washers with clean water and soap to be changed daily <br />c. Provide clean towels at ball washers as needed <br />3.10.4 Aerate <br />a. Contractor shall aerate tees once in the spring and once in the fall <br />b. Aerating may need to be performed more often on heavily used areas or <br />small tees <br />3.10.5 Topdressing <br />a. Tees shall be topdressed heavily (1/4 ") two to four times per year. <br />b. Additional applications may be required to provide.a level playing surface <br />c. Higher frequency recommended for par three tees <br />3.10.6 Vericut <br />a. Contractor shall vericut tees two times per year or as needed to control <br />excessive thatch accumulation <br />3.10.7 Fertilization <br />a. Contractor shall fertilize tees as needed to provide healthy, vigorous turf <br />b. 3 to 6 pounds, N /1000 square feet per year <br />c. Fertilizer shall be chosen based on soil test analysis <br />3.10.8 Pest Management <br />a. Use Integrated Pest Management (IPM) methodology <br />b. All use of pesticides and schedule thereof shall be approved by the City <br />prior to commencement. <br />3.10.9 Overseed <br />a. Overseed three to four times per year <br />b. Repair divots weekly or as needed to insure playable tees at all times <br />c. Blue Label Perennial Rye seed shall be used <br />d. Provide - sand and seed mixtures at each par three and heavily used tee <br />for patrons <br />3.10.10 Irrigation <br />a. Automatic irrigation system shall be used May 1st through October 31s <br />every night to maintain healthy growth at all times <br />b. Repair any damaged component as failure occurs through the operating <br />season <br />3.10.11 Tee Signs. <br />a. Remove grass from the base of each sign on regular basis <br />b. Replace signs as needed to maintain a clean, safe, and functioning . <br />condition at all times <br />3.11 Fairways <br />3.11.1 Mowing <br />a. March 1s through October 31s two to four times per week to <br />and November 1s through February 2e as needed <br />b. Grass shall be %" height or as suitable for turf species or desired playing <br />conditions <br />c. Contractor shall alternate mowing patterns to minimize grain <br />development <br />
