10 <br />Upland Prairie: Areas receiving direct sunlight that stay above the water table <br />throughout the year. Upland prairies provide habitat for a number of critters and birds as well as <br />plant species such as: Great Camass, River Bank Lupine, Showy Tarweed, Northern Lily, Owls <br />Clover, Western Buttercup, Oregon Iris, Native Strawberry, and Yarnpah. <br />Snowberry <br />Shrub Savanna: Shrub savannas provide nesting habitat to birds. These habitats are <br />characterized by clumping of shrub thickets within a prairie environment. Shrub savannas <br />provide habitats to: California Black Hazel Nut, Nootka Rose, Blue Elder Berry, Large <br />Flowering Collomia, Pearly Ever Lasting, and Annual Lupine. <br />Ash Woodland Understory: These riparian under stories do not get direct sunlight and <br />can be home to native plants such as: Snowberry, Oso Berry, Fringecup, Bleedingheart, Western <br />Trillium, Blue Wild Rye, and California Brome. <br />
